Dear Colleagues,
We stand in solidarity with our co-workers, our colleagues, our friends, and the entire Ukrainian Nation in their heroic defense of their country against Russian invasion. We earnestly hope for peace, and that we will be able to celebrate their liberation soon.
We will provide any and all logistical or financial help necessary for Ukrainians willing to attend the symposium.
It is our pleasure to announce that the registration and abstract submission portals of the 11th International Cretaceous Symposium (11th ICS), to be held in Warsaw, Poland from August 22 to 26 (with pre-conference field-trips, August 18-21, and post-conference field-trips, August 27-29), have opened.
The abstract submission deadline is April 30.
We encourage you to proceed to the Symposium website to register, submit abstracts, select sessions, and sign up for field excursions.
Please look at the revised scientific session program. Note that the program has not been finalized, and that new session proposals will be carefully considered: we welcome suggestions of additional sessions [and workshops] if you find the topic worthy of coverage during the Symposium.
At the present time, we anticipate the Symposium will be a *mostly* in-person event. However, an online live streaming service will be offered to those unable to travel to Warsaw, but willing to join us. We are also aware that, because of the current geopolitical situation, some of the present plans may need to be modified; if necessary, we will provide updates ina timely fashion.
The final program of the Symposium will be published in early July.
With kind regards,
Ireneusz Walaszczyk, Jacek Grabowski, Agata Jurkowska, Piotr Krzywiec, Marcin Machalski, Zbigniew Remin, Jordan Todes, Alfred Uchman, and Jurand Wojewoda

Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to announce that the 11th International Cretaceous Symposium (11th ISC),scheduled for August 22–26, 2022, will be held in Warsaw, the capital of Poland.
We are going to meet one year later than originally intended: during our last symposium in Vienna, 2017, we scheduled the meeting to take place in 2021, but the COVID-19 pandemic interfered with our plans. We hope that this will be a *mostly* in-person event; you are sincerely invited.
The website of the Symposium has just been launched (www.Cretaceous2022.com); in its present form, it contains just basic information about the conference, but will be updated as plans and itineraries are solidified; please bookmark.
This letter was sent to you because you are working on the Cretaceous. More specific messages, including a series of circulars, all necessary information, and other correspondence will be sent to you during the following months.
With kind regards,
Ireneusz Walaszczyk, Jacek Grabowski, Agata Jurkowska, Piotr Krzywiec, Marcin Machalski, Zbigniew Remin, Jordan Todes, Alfred Uchman, and Jurand Wojewoda
